The Balerno Music Festival

The 11thBalerno Music Festival moves into its second decade with a star studded selection of gifted musicians in events which cater for all ages and musical tastes.
On 29thSeptember ‘The Legends’make their debut performance at the Festival with a show which captures the spirit of the swinging 60s and 70s.
Returning this year with a Scottish flavour: The Tourie Band on 29thSeptember with Jim McColl as compere ‘Artie’s Tartan Tales’of ‘Singing Kettle’renown on 7thOctober; ‘Sangsters and George Machray’with a repertoire of Scottish Traditional songs on 12thOctober.
Bringing a classical genre to the festival are ‘Scozzesi‘ a highly accomplished group of singers and ‘Sirocco Winds‘ a dynamic wind ensemble who appear for the second year running by popular acclaim.
On 13thOctober ‘The Forth Valley Chorus’ A Cappella women’s choir will entertain us with a glittering performance of Barbershop music at the ‘Gala Concert’. In 2017 they gained 11thplace in the Barbershop International competition in Las Vegas. The choir will perform at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh in October 2018.
