Dinner Discussion – “Music Education in Today’s Society” with Maree Anderson
Maree Anderson has grown a fine reputation in the music department at Balerno High School. She will speak about approaches and challenges to teaching music in current times. We are assured of a lively and engaging talk from Maree whose role is described as Curriculum Leader of Creative Technologies. The evening will include a delicious two course meal provided by MacKenzies Catering with complimentary wine or soft drinks. A friendly and warm welcome is guaranteed. 'Something old, Something New' with Balerno Theatre Company
Balerno Theatre Company presents 'Something Old, Something New'. An evening of songs and stories from musicals past and present.

Come and Sing! - The Greatest Showman +
If you enjoy singing whilst having fun come and join the Pentland Junior Singers and sing songs from The Greatest Showman as well as other popular songs from the shows. At the end of our session we will put on a 15 minute performance for others to come and enjoy. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 14 who likes singing is invited to come and have fun. Tourie Band
The Tourie Band returns by popular request to perform "Traditional Scottish Music" to the highest degree. The band is made up of fiddlers backed up by accordions, basses and piano to produce a truly individual sound. Also back this year is singer Collete Ruddy and Jim McColl who will compere the whole programme in his own inimitable way.
The programme will comprise a mixture of new tunes and old favourites, their enjoyment in playing is infectious and is sure to be passed on to the sell-out audience anticipated for their return. Cabaret - The Legends 60's and 70's Show
The Legends are Scotland’s premier tribute to the 60′s and 70′s. The show captures the spirit of the time when the Swinging 60′s were ruling the world, conjuring up the wonderful nostalgic atmosphere. The first half of the show will run through their incredibly accurate tribute to the magic of the swinging sixties, showcasing all the biggest hits to come out of that era. They then return to the stage to take your breath away with the endless barrage of 70′s hit’s. Hullabaloo - Family Fun with Music 
Join Kerry and Charlotte for 45 minutes of fun with music. This class is aimed at pre-school babies and children but older siblings will be made very welcome.
Live music on guitar, pianos and violin are included in the session. There will be plenty of well-known nursery rhymes and action songs and, of course, instruments and colourful toys for everyone! Two sessions are planned so choose the one that best suits your schedule.
