To be as helpful as possible here’s some answers to some questions you may have. Please do check here before making direct contact. Thank you.

Q. Can I buy tickets on the day?

Some events are free so please just turn up (first come first served). If the event is ticketed and not sold out then yes tickets will be available on the day. Please check this web site closer to the festival dates for updates regarding sell-outs.

Q. I’ve ordered my tickets but they haven’t arrived yet. What should I do?

Firstly we will ask how you bought them post or by hand? Tickets are posted within 7 days upon receipt of payment. Secondly, which venue is the event on at? Please contact the relevant one, ie. Balerno Parish Church or Folk Club dependent on where the event is staged as soon as possible.

Q. Am I eligible for a concessionary ticket?

We have no concessions available but some years group tickets are available – see the programme schedule for more details.

Q. I’m bringing my children with me and they are both under 12, do they require a ticket?

Different priced children tickets are available please consult our programme for pricing information. All those attending a Festival ticketed event will be issued a ticket for entry and you are required to have one for each person who will have attending with you.

Q. I bought my tickets early and now discover I can’t come, can I get a refund?

We have a no refunds policy. Please see the terms and conditions on the how to book page for more information. However if people find they cannot come, they should let the organisation know as there may be a waiting list.

Q. How do I find out when a particular event is on?

Please go to our programme section for more information.

Q. What is the policy regarding food and drink at the festival?

You can’t bring your own food and alcohol (age 18+) into the festival events. You can purchase food and drink at each venue where it is available as well as the Festival social hub – the Mill Cafe in St Joseph’s Hall (dependent on day/time).

Q. How can I support the festival?

A great opportunity to put something back into the community is to become a Friend of the Balerno Music Festival.  Click here for an application form.  If you would like to help shape and run the festival then we’d be delighted to hear form you, please contact our Chair Fiona Gilroy.
